The Actress/Model

As a young girl at just the tender age of 8, MarQueta was told, "When you grow up you're going to be a model, very beautiful and very successful." Not knowing what a "Model" really was or what they do growing up she still had in the back of her mind that whatever it was if it was meant for her she'd someday be one. She got her first television debut when she booked her first Mcdonalds commercial at the tender age of 8. Around the age of 16 realizing that she really did look like a model at her 5'10" frame, plus getting tired of people asking her literally EVERYDAY, "Are you a model", is where she began to pursue acting & modeling in her local hometown of St. Louis. She doesn't have one of those "being discovered" stories, she had to go out and get it. With the support of her two loving parents she attended model searches until finally she was signed to a local agency where she took acting and runway classes. Like any modeling career everyone has their ups and downs, especially in the pursuit to find the right modeling agency. Once she moved to Los Angeles she became a freelance Model & Actress. She booked a few commercials, music videos, runway shows, etc on her own until she was finally signed 3 years later to Otto Models represented by agents who made television appearances on shows such as The Tyra Banks Show. From there things began to look up for her and she took the modeling & acting world by storm, modeling Internationally for designers, catalogs, hair shows, and participating as "Eye Candy" on Television shows such as Nick Canon's Wild N' Out and more.

M.J. has now begin to branch out to the other side of the camera now seeing what it's like to actually cast talent and dress models..and occasionally stepping back on this side of the camera as well.
